PURPOSE OF THE FOLLOWING NOTICE

This page describes the ways in which the personal details of the users who browse the site are managed.

This notice is provided in compliance with the terms of Article 13 of Italian Legislative Decree No. 196/2003 (the Italian Data Protection Act) and concerns the measures in place to safeguard the confidentiality of the personal details of those who interact with the web services of Taf Machinery s.r.l., which can be accessed online via the following homepage address: http://www.tafmachinery.com

 

This notice applies only to the Taf Machinery s.r.l. site and not to other sites that may be accessed through links appearing on the www.tafmachinery.com site.

 

The notice is based, in part, on Recommendation 2/2001, which the European authorities – at the meeting of the Group constituted in response to Article 29 of Directive 95/46/CE – adopted on 17 May 2001 in relation to data protection. The Recommendation sets out certain minimum requirements for the online collection of personal details, with a specific focus on the methods, timescales and nature of the information that the data managers must provide to the users when those users access web pages, regardless of the purpose of the browsing session.

The processing operations relating to the web services of this site are conducted at the aforementioned premises of Taf Machinery s.r.l. and are managed exclusively by technical personnel or by those charged with carrying out any necessary maintenance operations. None of the information deriving from the web service will be communicated or disclosed.

The personal details supplied by those users who request the sending out of informative material (commercial contacts, CD-ROMs demos, newsletters, answers to queries, etc.) are used solely in order to provide the requested service and will not be disclosed to third parties.

 

TYPES OF DETAILS PROCESSED

Browsing session data

During normal operation, the IT systems and software processes that run this website acquire certain personal details, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols. The information in question is not collected with a view to associating it with specifically identified individuals, but – given the nature of said information – it could, through processing and cross-referencing with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.

The information in question includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers utilised by users who connect to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the requested resources, the size of the file received in response, the numerical code identifying the status of the response from the server (successful completion, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and IT environment.

This information is used solely in order to compile anonymous statistical data on the use of the site and to monitor the site’s functionality. However, the details may also be used to ascertain liability in cases of IT offences committed against the site.
